I learned a very useful piece of information today: As I was looking around my ezinearticle account, I happened to click on the analysis of my articles. Low and behold, the articles about writing got many, many more views/clicks than my marketing articles.
This took me by complete surprise! I was researching some great marketing strategies and thought I’d share them by writing articles. Well, in copywriting, a basic concept taught is that you have to get out of your own head and think of what your reader needs or wants. Be the reader or potential customer. Ah, ha! Silly me.
What’s the writing lesson learned here? Check up on any analysis tools you have in place and pay attention to what they’re telling you. If you move off into other writing directions be sure to check where they’re taking you to.
See you in blog world,
Karen
